I want to calibrate my computer and printer to make ink jet photo prints? Any suggestions where to start?
Start by calibrating your monitor. Adobe supplies a free utility program with Photoshop called Adobe Gamma to do just that. It's step-by-step wizard will walk you through the process.
If you're working on a PC, you'll find Adobe Gamma in the Control Panels.
If you're working on a Mac, you'll find the Calibrate utility in the System Preferences. Double-click Display, then click the Color tab.
Calibrate your monitor once a month to maintain consistent color display. I do it on the first of every month.
